V-Rack

The V-Rack is the perfect complement to Speck Gear's bikepacking bags. The rack is manufactured from precision steel tubing in a small factory in Zurich and is designed to withstand the highest loads while remaining lightweight. The design is pared down to the essentials, while the innovative, adjustable mounting system is highly stable. The rack is made of stainless chrome steel in stress areas and has a durable powder-coated finish. The V-Rack features internal cable routing and a mounting plate for dynamo-powered rear lights.
Using a spirit level, you can adjust the tilt of the rack platform to a maximum of -12° or align it parallel to the ground. Then, adjust the aluminum mounting struts for mounting on the seat stays to the desired shape.

Compatibility: The V-Rack is designed to be compatible with most bicycle frames that have the appropriate mounting points. Make sure your frame is suitable for installation. If you are unsure, please contact your bicycle manufacturer or take it to your bike shop to check compatibility. Your frame should be equipped with rack eyelets on the dropouts and upper seat stays. The V-Rack is designed to mount on frames with dropouts that are 150 to 180 mm (5.9–7.1") wide.
Some frames do not have threaded eyelets on the dropouts and/or seat stays. In this case, the Tubus thru-axle adapter and a saddle clamp with rack mount or the Tubus clamp adapter set can be used. The last one is only suitable for metal frames. The version with thru-axle adapter and rack mount on the seat clamp is also suitable for carbon frames, whereby the frame specifications must be observed. Another manufacturer that offers suitable thru-axle adapters and mounting puks is Old Man Mountain/Robert Axles.
For UDH derailleur hanger mounts, the alternative Tubus or Ortlieb thru-axle with a UDH adapter from the British company Tailfin can also be used. This UDH adapter differs from the original in that the hexagon socket on the outside has been enlarged to 12 mm. This enlargement allows thru axles to be screwed through to the outer edge of the derailleur hanger, enabling a rack to be mounted on appropriately equipped thru axles. Please note that when using the UDH adapter, a thru axle that is at least 5 mm longer than the original axle must be used. • Risk of injury due to material breakage due to overloading: Do not exceed the maximum load of 26 kg (57 lbs) total and a maximum of 13 kg (28.5 lbs) per side. If necessary, weigh the load to ensure that the maximum load is not exceeded.
• Risk of injury due to insufficient clearance between the rack and the tire: The clearance between the rack and the tire must be at least 20 mm. Check the clearance after installation.
