Manufactured in Switzerland

The bags are sewn by a manufacturer specializing in outdoor products in the Zurich Oberland. They are made from our own 560 dtex Sensil® Thougtex by Nature fabric. The yarn is produced entirely in Europe and woven in Germany. The resulting fabric is characterized by very high abrasion resistance and relatively low weight. PU lamination on the inside makes the fabric 100% waterproof. The outside is treated with a PFC-free DWR impregnation.

The seams are waterproof even though they are not taped. This is achieved through a combination of impregnated sewing thread, optimally selected needle thickness, and stitch length. This makes the seam sufficiently tight without the need for additional seam sealing or taping. The latter often lead to weak points, especially with frequent compression.

All materials and the finished product are intensively tested for durability and functionality. Speck Gear parts are designed to be easy to repair – even on the go. The bags are designed to fit not only our racks, but also most standard racks or cargo cages.

The racks are handcrafted from seamless, precision-drawn steel tubing by a small factory in Zurich. High-stress contact points and screw connections are made of chrome steel, and the surface is finished with a durable powder coating.
For legal reasons, they are designed for a maximum load of 26 and 20 kg. The V-Rack has an opening for the internal cable routing of the rear light. The Y-Rack can be used as either a front or rear rack and is height-adjustable. Both racks are optimally matched to the Speck mini panniers. They can be mounted horizontally or, when using our bags, slightly angled to the seat tube to achieve a more central center of gravity.
