Anyone who has spent days cycling through nature knows: Bikepacking is about the essentials. You reduce your life to what fits on your frame. It was precisely for these intense moments on a gravel bike, mountain bike, or touring bike that I developed my new collection. It is now available in my webshop. It not only brings a breath of fresh air to your setup but also makes a clear statement for conscious and sustainable craftsmanship, for which I stand with my name.
Swiss manufacturing quality meets European roots
In an era where outdoor equipment has become a global mass-produced commodity, Speck Gear consciously takes a different path. Every new product is developed in close collaboration with my Swiss manufacturer. Behind each model lies over a year of development, starting with an idea, going through countless prototypes, and culminating in the finished product. This gives me maximum control over every single step of the process—from the first design sketch to the final seam. This process is followed by an intensive testing phase and consistent detail optimization directly in production. You can feel this proximity to the product with every kilometer. I design my bags so that they don't wobble even on wild trails, withstand extreme loads, and are meticulously thought out down to the smallest detail.
But my philosophy doesn't end at national borders. True sustainability and quality are only possible for me through short supply chains. That's why I consistently manufacture my bikepacking equipment from modern, robust materials that I source or have produced directly from Europe. This significantly reduces the ecological footprint of my production. It also guarantees me that the fabrics are produced under fair working conditions and according to the highest environmental standards. My goal is to develop equipment that will accompany you for a lifetime and is made to defy the elements.
Thoughtful details for your perfect setup
The new collection combines a commitment to high quality with technical innovation. The warm, natural “Ginger” color immediately catches the eye, blending harmoniously into any landscape and with any bike—even when the bags are dusty and show signs of wear from the trail. But the real highlights come to the fore during rugged use on the trail.
If you're looking for quick access to snacks or your camera, my Food-Bags with their clever one-hand drawstring closure are the perfect companion for the cockpit. For large or minimal luggage, I designed the Rack-Packs for the rea rack. They are equipped with a practical elastic band that allows for quickly accessible extras. The versatile Bar-Bags on the handlebars, on the other hand, can be loaded flexibly thanks to their compressible roll closure. Even for minimalist storage under the saddle, I have created an extremely stable solution with the compact Saddle-Pack 01.
To maximize the use of space on your bike, I have also developed two specialists. The Fork-Pack 04 utilizes the space on your suspension or rigid fork, while the Downtube-Pack 01 creates low-slung storage directly on the down tube – ideal for tools or spare parts that keep your bike's center of gravity low. The system is complemented by smart detailed solutions like the Break-Strap for brake fixation, as well as ultralight, waterproof pack sacks that ensure uncompromising organization inside the bags.
